I’ve been a creative for as long as I can remember. As a kid, you’d find me doodling in a sketchbook, crafting elaborate storylines for my Barbie dolls, or lost in a book. But my deepest love was always audio. I picked up the guitar at nine, and around the same time, I developed a fascination with computers and technology. It was only a matter of time before I found a way to blend the two.
Following in my older brother’s footsteps, I started writing and recording my own songs on our home PC. By 16, I had built up an arsenal of lo-fi, homespun music.
I went on to study at Oberlin Conservatory of Music before earning a graduate degree in Entertainment Technology from Carnegie Mellon University. Along the way, I explored all kinds of creative avenues—from performing in a steel drum ensemble and managing 300 sound cues for a large-scale contemporary opera to designing art-technology installations and experimenting with interactive, location-based experiences.
Now, with over 16 years of professional experience creating audio for video games, short films, and advertising, I work as an Associate Creative Director specializing in the power and impact of audio. A lifelong learner, I’m always adding to my skill set—-most recently diving into Data Analytics in my spare time.
Outside of work, you’ll find me trying out new recipes, studying for Jeopardy!, going to concerts with my husband Matt, or attempting to teach my cat Lucy new tricks.
